Doug will take on his own journey as a filmmaker while addressing the pluses and minuses of directors being their own producers; the five most common producing mistakes; the importance of agreements; how to build relationships with funders, distributors, and broadcasters; film festival strategies; how to maintain energy for multiple projects; and how to make a living as a documentary filmmaker.
